Mississippi Riverfront Sunset House

Vacation Rental

Nestled along the Mississippi River just off the Great River Road a modern and luxurious vacation rental in Buffalo City Wisconsin. The Mississippi Riverfront Sunset House is a place where family, friends, and the river come together.

Simple Traditions & Special Touches

At the Mississippi Riverfront Sunset House, we love creating simple traditions that make time together extra special. One of our favorites is enjoying a bag of warm, buttery microwave popcorn during movie nights or while watching the sunset over the river. To share a piece of that tradition with you, we’ve included complimentary popcorn for your stay. You’ll find it in the kitchen cabinet by the table, also stocked with games, cards, coloring pages, and cozy blankets to use outside by the fire. Beach towels are provided to make heading out on the water easy, and during the warmer months, we also leave freezies in the freezer for a sweet refreshing treat.

We’re grateful to have this special riverfront home along the Mississippi River and to be able to share it with others when we can't be there to use it ourselves. Whether you’re boating, fishing/hunting, golfing, biking, hiking, swimming, or exploring local wineries, snowmobile/ATV trails, orchards, and pumpkin patches, there’s something to enjoy in every season and for every guest.

The Mississippi Riverfront Sunset House is in a great location not only for the views but it's an ideal home base for Great River Road trips and perfect for guests visiting Winona (MN), Alma, Pepin, Fountain City, Wabasha (MN).

I recently toured this beautiful home on the Mississippi River. What a gem! The home is beautifully furnished and decorated, with meticulous attention to detail. It exudes a homey but modern charm and is ideally located near restaurant/bars within walking distance. With a private dock, a new game room, and outdoor spaces for a fire or relaxation, this home has something for every age and taste.

We had an incredible stay at the Mississippi Riverfront Sunset House! The home is beautifully updated, blending modern comfort with cozy charm. From the moment we booked, the hosts were exceptionally responsive and helpful, making sure everything was perfect for our visit.

The amenities are top-notch. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, including a separate fridge just for beverages. Appreciated the coffeemaker being able to make an entire pot for a group or a cup as needed. There are so many different areas to gather around in comfortable seating arrangements whether it be in the living room with the fireplace, around the dining table or outside at the gazebo with river views. There are lots of nice added touches, including a binder with local recommendations, games to enjoy and a curated book nook. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable — we all slept so well. The entire home was spotless, which made settling in even easier.

The setting is peaceful and serene, right on the river. Watching the sunset was magical and the outdoor space is ideal for gatherings with friends or family. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create a relaxing retreat.

Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to unwind and relax in a beautiful home at such a great spot on the river!

We had the most amazing girls’ weekend at this beautiful Mississippi River Airbnb! The house is stunning, modern, and impeccably clean, with thoughtful decor that made it feel so welcoming. There was plenty of parking, which was super convenient. We loved unwinding, playing the fun games we found in the closet, and just enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. The sunset over the river was absolutely breathtaking — a perfect backdrop for a weekend of laughter and relaxation. The owners were fantastic and so easy to communicate with. We’re already looking forward to revisiting in the summer and spending some time on the river! Highly recommend for anyone looking to recharge and enjoy quality time with friends.
